I’m happy to share some exciting news with you! FarmGal Flowers and Fern Trust is a Designer Dream Team for American Flowers Week 2019! I will serve as the floral designer while Fern Trust will provide the locally grown foliage for an amazing Florida inspired floral couture look. We will be joining several other teams from across the country on this project to highlight American grown flowers and foliage. This collection will be published in the June 2019 issue of Florists’ Review and other media outlets.
I recently made a trip to Fern Trust in Seville, Florida about an hour north of Orlando. There I met our partner, Jana Register, Director of Sales and Marketing, who graciously gave me a tour of their facility and fields. I have to tell you – Florida produces the most gorgeous foliage: Monstera, Aspidistra, Magnolia, Princess Pine, and so many varieties of Cedar, Cypress and ferns. It was so inspiring!
We scouted some possible locations for our photo shoot on Fern Trust’s property. There are so many gorgeous options! This will probably be one of our hardest decisions. I’ll give you a sneak peak of one of my favorites, an amazing Oak hammock with lush ferns growing beneath. It was truly magical!
